Trump tepidly offers 'I'm sorry if' apology for his anti-Muslim retweets

In the words of Justin Bieber, is it too late now to say sorry? 

Well, for Donald Trump, it's apparently never too late to deliver a rather tepid apology for retweeting anti-Muslim unverified videos posted by the deputy leader of far-right group Britain First. 

Trump today delivered a kind of semi-sorry, an "I'm sorry if.." a.k.a. the very worst kind of apology. 

Speaking to Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, Trump said he retweeted the anti-immigrant, anti-muslim videos because he's "a big believer in fighting radical Islamic terror." "This was a depiction of radical Islamic terror," said Trump.  Read more...
