The excitement leading up to Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle in Time may have become slightly tinged with dread in the past few weeks, as suspicion started to creep in that it wouldn't live up to expectations.
Critics are finally allowed to share their thoughts on the film, which are mostly as expected; it's a visually stunning adaptation that struggles to live up to the source material. Still, it has heartMashable's Angie Han called it "a flawed film that entreats us to love flawed things, up to and including our very own selves."
